NC Comicon comes to Durham on 14 and 15 November
I wish I could make it to this, but with Charlotte’s own winter Comicon coming up, I don’t think there will be time. But, for those further North, it should be plenty fun.
NC Comicon, the Triangle's locally owned comics and pop-culture show, returns to the Durham Convention Center on 14 and 15 November.
It's first and foremost a comics convention, with a creator-focused guest list that includes Bryan Lee O'Malley, Mike and Laura Allred, Bernard Chang, Kyle Higgins, Zoe Thorogood and Stephanie Williams. Beyond comics, there's cosplay, gaming, film, animation and design, and the organisers make a point of welcoming fans of every age and experience level.
The convention's website doesn't list show hours or ticket prices yet, but tickets are on sale here: https://nccomicon.com/tickets/
Durham is about two and a half hours' drive from Charlotte. If you'd rather stay closer to home, the Carolina Renaissance Festival's Time Travelers' Weekend in Huntersville falls on the same dates.
